But its not all bad, the upside to this is we have the sewage science museum across the road! Not sold on the idea? Well, I can understand some hesitation but this museum is actually one of the most fun I have been to! For a start, its totally free and there are six floors of interactive sewage entertainment to enjoy.
You can take a ride on a simulator that takes you on a journey around various underground locations around the world and play a video game atop a drilling machine, navigating your way around a sewer, avoiding alligators and suspicious looking men. There is also a 3d movie to enjoy and many interactive models with plenty of buttons to keep kids occupied. In addition to all this, on the top floor there is a greenhouse where vegetables are grown which gives a nice view of Yodo River.
I would definitely recommend a visit to the sewage science museum if you are in the area, their website can be seen here.
The sewage treatment plant. I wonder what they keep in those tanks? |
What are the toilets like?
ReplyDeletehaha, great signage on those tanks!
ReplyDeleteThe toilets were bog standard. (ha ha)
ReplyDeleteThere is actually a tank 3 and 4 as well. Who knows what is kept in them! Maybe it refers to strength, same as coffee beans.
Interactive sewage entertainment. Never thought I'd see those words in that order.
ReplyDeleteI hope you washed your hands when you left.
I can safely say I have never had so much sewage related fun ever before in my life.
ReplyDeleteWell, there was that one time when....on second thoughts, maybe I will keep that one to myself.
