The days are finally getting warmer and the plum blossom is in bloom. Cherry blossom season is just around the corner and the brief period when the temperature is perfect before becoming unbearable.
Question is, where to go for Hanami this year? If only everyone around the world could be at peace to enjoy this simple pleasure.
春らしくなってきました！
やっと、日々、どんどん暖かくなって梅の花が咲いています。もうすぐ桜の季節もきますし、そして耐えられない（暑さの）気温になる前のちょうどいい短い時期です。
問題は、今年、どこで花見をするかということです。世界中のみんなが安らかに、シンプルな娯楽を楽しめるようになったらいいんだけど。
This year, rainy season has been a little strange. Usually for a few weeks it rains heavily, then stops. After that, the sound of cicadas can be heard, then I think “Ah! Summer has arrived at last!”.
This year, however, rainy season has been a little unclear. We had a number of heavy rainy days during late May and early June, then it hasn’t rained so much. I’ve yet to hear any cicadas but it feels like summer has arrived.
Perhaps there will be more rain to come?
今年、梅雨の時期がちょっと変と思います。たいてい、数週間大雨があってとまります。それから、セミの鳴き声が聞こえてきて、「やっと、夏が着た！」と感じます。しかし、今年、梅雨がちょっと曖昧だとおもいます。五月の下旬と六月の上旬、数日大雨があって、それから雨があまり降りませんでした。セミの鳴き声がまだ聞こえませんでしたが、夏が来たと感じます。大雨の日が、もうすぐまだきますかな？
Recently I noticed that I haven’t written anything on this blog for about three years. Many things have changed in that time I think. Like many people, when I first moved to Japan I started this blog but also like many people, I gave up after a while. The reason for this is, for one I didn’t have the time and also, I thought that no one was really interested in the blog.
So why have I started writing again? One reason is to practice Japanese. In recent years I have found I have hit a wall with learning Japanese and have not been able to progress. By writing once a week in Japanese I thought that I might be able to improve.
Secondly, It’s good to look back on what one was doing at a certain time, kind of like a diary. And if anyone actually enjoys reading this, well that’s a bonus! Let’s just hope that I can continue this time.
最近、このブログに三年間くらいに何も書かなかったことに気がつきました。 その間に変わったことが多いと思います。大勢の人々と同じように、初めて日本に引っ越 したとき、ブログを書き始めました。しかし、大勢の人々と同じように、辞めてしましま した。なぜなら、時間がないし、誰も私のブログに興味がないと思いました。そこで、ど うしてまた始めたのか?その理由一つは日本の勉強をするためです。 最近、日本語の学習と習得について困難にぶつかり、前に進めません。したがって一週間 に、一度日本語でブログを書いたら、上達できると思っています。また、ある時間、何を していたかをかえりみられたらいいと思いました。日記を書くみたいです。誰かがこのブ ログを読んで楽しんでくれたら、それはおまけです。今度こそ、このブログを続けられた らいいと思います!
